About
Started in a Humble driveway. Still parked there.
Nextdoor Lawn Services has been mowing yards across Humble, Atascocita, and Kingwood since 2018. Today the trailer is still parked at David’s house — and David still answers the phone.

“Same crew, every week.”

Our story
Started in 2018.Still here.
David Pittman started Nextdoor Lawn Services in 2018 with a walk-behind mower, a 6×10 trailer, and a Humble driveway. The first eight customers were literally his next-door neighbors — they saw the trailer roll out every Saturday and asked if he’d do their yard too. The name stuck because it was already true.
Eight years later the crew is two to three people, the trailer holds a stand-on mower and a pressure washer, and the work has grown into landscaping, patio extensions, and seasonal cleanups. But the principle hasn’t shifted. Show up the same morning every week. Latch the gate. Quote on-site. Text back the same day.
We don’t do high-pressure sales, we don’t upsell, and we don’t blast siding in August. Most of our work still comes from a neighbor pointing across a fence in Atascocita or Eagle Springs — and we’d like to keep it that way.
- Insured — general liability and workers’ comp
- Same crew every visit — no rotating subcontractors
- Quiet equipment, gate-latch checked, walks blown clean
