Nextdoor Lawn Services

Services

Everything we do —in plain English.

We’ll quote any of these on-site. The price you get is the price you pay — no surprise add-ons, no upsells.

  • Weekly Lawn Care

Sharp lines, clean edges, walks blown spotless. Same crew, same day, every week — your neighbors notice.

Weekly or bi-weekly mow with sharp blades, height adjusted for the Houston summer so St. Augustine and Bermuda hold up through August. Edged at every visit, string-trim around fences and oaks, and a final blow so nothing carries onto the driveway or street. Same David, same crew — we know your gate latch and your dog’s name by visit two.

  • Landscaping & Bed Work

Beds reset, plants chosen for the heat, mulch fresh — the front of your house finally looks like the rest of the neighborhood.

Bed cleanouts, weed-pull by hand, refresh on hardwood or pine-bark mulch (we like pine-bark for the Humble shade beds), and plant installs that survive the Houston summer — yaupon, dwarf palmetto, knock-out roses, Asian jasmine, salvia. We design at the residential scale. For full architectural plans we partner with a Kingwood designer and project-manage from there.

  • Pressure Washing

Driveways, walks, patios, fences — that grey-green Houston haze comes off and the concrete looks new again.

Soft-wash for siding and stained boards; high-pressure for concrete drives, brick, and pavers. We pre-treat for mold and the algae that creeps in along the north-side fence after a wet spring. Surface cleaner on the big slabs so you do not get stripe marks. House washes scheduled for cool mornings — we do not blast siding in the August heat.

  • Patio Build-Outs & Extensions

Pavers, flagstone, extending an existing slab — proper base, polymeric sand, edges that hold through Gulf-Coast clay.

Concrete pavers and Oklahoma flagstone, set on compacted base with geotextile underlayment so the Humble clay does not heave the surface in two summers. We extend existing patios, build firepit pads, lay walkways from drive to side gate, and step pads down to the Atascocita Lake docks. The boring base work is where most installs fail — we do that part right.

  • Seasonal Cleanups

Spring reset, fall leaf haul-out, post-storm pickup. The big push twice a year so the lawn does not start a season behind.

Spring: cut back perennials, edge beds, refresh mulch, treat the first weed flush. Fall: leaf haul (Kingwood is brutal in November), bed cleanout, blow gutters from the ground, prep the lawn for dormancy. Post-hurricane and post-ice-storm cleanups available — we keep a chipper available October through March.

Starts at $220 · per visit

  • Mulch Refresh

Pine-bark, hardwood, or dyed black, hand-spread to depth so the beds look fresh and the weeds quit.

Bulk-delivered mulch, hand-spread to a consistent 2 to 3 inches around plants and trees with a clean edge against the lawn. We pull last year’s clumped mulch first if it has matted. Pine-bark for our shade beds in Kingwood and Atascocita — it weathers slower and looks right under the loblolly pines.

  • Shrub & Hedge Trim

Hollies, ligustrums, boxwoods, crape myrtles — shaped at the right time of year, not whenever a calendar says so.

Seasonal pruning timed to each plant, not the calendar. Crape myrtles get a real cut in late winter (no crape murder). Hollies and yaupon shaped after spring flush. Boxwoods kept tight. Loquat and Texas mountain laurel only when it is right for them.

  • Sod Installation

St. Augustine, Bermuda, or Zoysia — graded, laid, rolled, and a watering schedule that actually fits a Humble yard.

Soil prep, light grading, fresh sod laid in a brick-pattern with tight seams, rolled in. Printed three-week watering schedule that accounts for our Houston rain pattern (do not over-water in August or we get fungus). We come back at week two to check root contact and re-quote any low spots.

Starts at $750 · per visit

Most weekly customers add cleanups, mulch, and the odd hardscape job — there’s usually a flat-rate way to handle that.
